Gift baskets are a lovely way to present an array of items. They are great for a variety of occasions and are easy to make. However, wrapping a basket can be tricky, especially when it comes to large ones. To make sure your basket presents beautifully, follow the tips in this article on how to wrap a gift basket.
Start with a clean sheet of cellophane, and fold it into the shape of your basket, or as close as you can get. If your basket is really big, then cut a second piece of cellophane to cover the back and sides. You want to leave room at the top for a pretty frill.
Grab the long edges of the cellophane, and bring them toward each other. You’ll have two “flaps” on either side, which you can crease (like if you were wrapping a box-shaped gift). Then take the front flaps and fold them over the back flaps.
Continue doing this for each side of the basket, until you reach the top. At this point, you can tuck in any loose ends, and tape them down.
Crystal clear and durable, this cellophane basket wrap is perfect for any occasion and makes any gift beautiful. It is ideal for gift bags, large gifts, wine bottles, flower arrangements, fruit baskets, wedding gifts and more. It also meets FDA requirements for food safety and is great at keeping moisture or dirt out of your item. This is not heat shrink wrap.
